The highlight of the specifications is likely the design of the ROG Phone 5 series. Asus has added what it is calling “ROG Vision”, a matrix display that is located on the back of the smartphone. Depending on the variant, you will either get a color display, simple RGB lights, or even a monochrome display. It offers interesting customization elements like lighting effects, useful animations, and custom clips to play on ROG Vision. The ROG Phone 5 series also offers more input points to gamers to help improve the gaming experience.
We also get two 3,000mAh batteries in the device to give an effective capacity of 6,000mAh. This dual design allows the company to improve the heat output of the device while offering a faster charging experience. Other notable aspects include better audio experience, ESS DAC in the 3.5mm audio jack, Included AreoActive Cooler 5, 144Hz AMOLED display, and top-of-the-line SoC.
ROG accessories
Finally, let’s talk about the accessories that the company has launched along with the device lineup. First, we get the Asus ROG AeroActiveCooler 5, an improved cooler that features two customizable touch inputs on the back. This is priced at Rs 2,999 but it comes bundled with Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro and 5 Ultimate. Asus has also bundled the ROG Aero Case with all the ROG Phone 5 variants for protection.
The second most important accessory that launched with the series is called the Asus ROG Cetra II Core headset. It comes with a USB Type-C connector, Active Noise Cancelation, Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) drivers, LSR ear fins, and ear tips. The headset is compatible with multiple products including the PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5, Macs, and even Nintendo Switch. Asus has priced the headset at Rs. 4,599 and it will go on sale along with the smartphone. The fourth and final accessory to land is the ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad for Rs. 9,999.
