Battlefield Mobile is coming soon to India-Electronic Arts (EA) is now conducting Open Betas; find out how you can be a part of one
Battlefield Mobile is currently live for pre-registering on Google Play. Here's everything you need to know about Electronic Arts' Battlefield Mobile.
Electronic Arts (EA) has just started Open Beta for Battlefield Mobile in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Now, this may not sound very exciting at first to us here in India. However, when we add that pre-registrations for beta testing in India are live, it gets a bit more relevant. As it is, the game will reportedly launch before the end of this year, and we don’t have a lot of time before that. So, here's where we get into the details of Battlefield Mobile. Read on for more.
About Battlefield Mobile
This mobile game is going to be a standalone installment in the extremely popular Battlefield franchise, from EA and DICE. Though its latest launch, Battlefield 2042 from last year, has ended up flunking big time, one cannot judge the franchise from this one failure. Last week itself, Battlefield 1 (2016), recorded its highest concurrent player count on Steam. The game which was added to the platform two years back has re-entered the list of Top 10 Best-Sellers. We can only hope that Battlefield Mobile holds on to the legacy of this first-person-shooter series.
The developers, Industrial Toys, have assured that players can “experience the same wild situations and explosive spectacles Battlefield is famous for”. Special shout-out to the four classes- Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer, that are currently missing in Battlefield 2042. Additionally, the various modes will include Conquest, Warpath, Rush, and Deathmatch, all of which are currently being tested in the Open Beta. More special modes will be introduced in the future.
Battlefield Mobile- Platforms, requirements, price, launch
As evident from the title, it is a mobile-only game, which will not support cross-play or cross-progression. Battlefield Mobile is currently available only on Android devices, but the developers have informed that the game is “being optimized to run on a variety of devices.” Therefore, iOS launch may happen sometime soon. As for the minimum requirements, here’s what Industrial Toys suggests-
- Android 8.0 or later
- Snapdragon 835 or better
- Exynos 9 (8895) or better
- At least 3 GB RAM
- At least 2 GB of storage space
- Must be a 64-bit system
Battlefield 2042 will be free-to-play upon the global launch, though it will include in-game purchases. The launch date has not yet been revealed, but it is reported that it’ll launch by the end of this year. That’s another two months left. Regardless, EA will be conducting more of these Open Betas now, and Indians can expect to be a part of one very soon. So if you want to be a tester for Battlefield Mobile, go pre-register for the Open Beta on Google Play Store right now.
