Microsoft has shared details about all the changes that are coming to its gaming subscription service, Xbox Game Pass. These changes coincide with the launch of its next-generation consoles, the Xbox Series X and Series S. Most of the details have already surfaced on the internet in recent weeks. However, this official announcement comes with more details to offer some clarity as compared to the leaks and teasers. The highlight of the announcement is the arrival of EA Play to the Microsoft Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft also outlined all the new games that will land on the gaming service in the month of November 2020. Microsoft Xbox Game Pass updates for November 2020, details
EA Play is finally coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription, but it will be limited to the Ultimate tier. The EA Play-related benefits including the game lineup are arriving on Xbox consoles today. Microsoft has ensured that this is in-line with the global launch of its Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. New console owners with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription can start downloading “more than 60” titles available on EA Play. In addition to consoles, the company is also bringing select EA Play games to Android with the help of xCloud. These titles include Dragon Age: Inquisition, Madden NFL 20, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Players will also get Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, The Sims 4, and Unravel 2.
Microsoft also noted that EA Play will arrive at Xbox Game Pass for PC on December 15. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on PC can start downloading and playing EA Play games from the EA Desktop app. Autumn Brown, the Senior Director at Content Strategy and Partnerships at Electronics Arts (EA) issued a statement. Brown stated, “We want players to access the games and in-game benefits they want, in the easiest way possible. This partnership with Xbox makes an impressive library of great Xbox and EA content more readily accessible. Our goal is to give players more choice to get more of what they love, and this is a way to do that.”
November 2020 Xbox Game Pass games and Disney+
Looking at the games coming to Xbox Game Pass, xCloud and console users will get Gears Tactics, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and Planet Coaster: Console Edition. Console and PC players will get Tetris Effect: Connected, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered while Gonner2 will be limited to xCloud. Moving forward, PC players will also get Streets of Rogue, and Halo MCC: Halo 4 with Star Renegades heading to xCloud and consoles. Ark: Survival Evolved: Explorer’s Edition and River City Girls will be available on all the platforms.
As previously reported, Microsoft has indeed teamed up with Disney+. As part of the team-up, the company will offer a 30-day free trial for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users. This will be available as a perk for Ultimate subscribers. You can check out more details on the official Xbox website.
