Prime Minister Modi highlights E-Gaming Federation’s “CityQuest” in Mann Ki Baat
The PM is recognizing the immense potential of the online gaming sector as a catalyst for innovation and job creation and urged citizens to participate in such games and challenges.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi featured “CityQuest: Shades of Bharat”, the educational game developed by the E-Gaming Federation, at the 10th-anniversary episode of Mann Ki Baat. This game is based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by Niti Aayog and is developed under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting under the WAVES program and creates awareness about Bharat’s urban development journey.
The PM is recognizing the immense potential of the online gaming sector as a catalyst for innovation and job creation and urged citizens to participate in such games and challenges.
Commenting on this, Anuraag Saxena, CEO of EGF said, “We are thrilled that ‘gaming for good’ is getting attention from the most respected offices. With CityQuest, we hope to educate players about the Vikas journey of Bharatiya cities”. He also added, “Today’s boost from the honourable PM renews EGF’s continued commitment to the Viksit Bharat journey and dedication to partner with the Government on these goals”.
CityQuest will play a role in helping players and society to connect better and appreciate each other’s cities, developing a greater sense of appreciation and culture that is unique to India’s diversity.
The PM’s support is a powerful affirmation of the industry’s collective efforts to position India as a global leader in gaming. EGF’s partnership with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to launch the ‘City Quest: Shades of Bharat’ game is a bridge to understanding and celebrating the vibrant tapestry of urban India. Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of urban planning, City Quest is a custom-made online educational game championing the brilliance of our Indian cities.
