Sony PlayStation 5 series will be priced starting at Rs 39,990; Here are all the details

Sony India has finally shared some official details around its upcoming gaming console line-up, the PlayStation 5 (PS5) series. As part of the latest information available, Sony shared details the pricing information for the much-awaited PS5 and PS5 Digital. In addition to the official Indian pricing for the consoles, we also got the pricing of all the PS5 accessories. Sony also shared pricing information regarding some of the PS5 exclusive games that will launch alongside the console. However, we still don’t know the official launch date for the console in the Indian market. In the meantime, let’s check all the available information here.
Sony PlayStation 5 series price in India and more; details
According to the official announcement the top of the line Sony PlayStation 5 is priced at Rs 49,990. Stepping down, the PS5 Digital Edition is priced at Rs 39,990. For some context, Microsoft priced its Xbox Series X at Rs 49,990 and Series S at Rs 35,990. This means that Sony it matching Microsoft when it comes to the pricing of the next generation gaming consoles. Looking at the pricing of the accessories, we get the DualSense Wireless Controller for Rs 5,990. Sony HD Camera is priced at Rs 5,190 and the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset at Rs 8,590.
Digging further, the company has also priced its Media Remote at Rs 2,590 and the DualSense Charging Station at Rs 2,590. It is worth noting that the only difference between the regular PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition is the Ultra HD Blue-ray disc drive. The regular version comes with this disc drive while the Digital version removes it. As mentioned above, the company also announced the pricing for some of its exclusive games that are launching soon.
Sony has priced Marvel Spiderman: Miles Morales at Rs 3,999 and Ultimate Edition at Rs 4,999. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is priced at Rs 3,999, Destruction Allstars at Rs 4,999 and Demon’s Souls at Rs 4,999. However, beyond all this, the company has still not shared the launch date for the PS5 series in India. The official pricing for the PS5 series and PS5 exclusive games comes just hours after several reports surfaced online noting November 19 at the India launch date. However, Sony took down the image outlining this launch date right after the initial reports.
